The hotel feels like It is in an unsafe location and gives off a scary vibe. The past history for the hotel speaks for itself. I booked the hotel because I was displaced and they promise me an early check in time and then they later told me check in would be even later than the original check in time (even though the early check in time was the only reason I booked the hotel that day). They were then slow to respond to messages the day of and did not even give me an option to drop off my bags while I waited for the late check-in time. The hotel didn't feel very safe and I was unhappy with the hosts. This is one of my only negative reviews I have ever left on airbnb. Also since they are not connected to the hotel if you run out of toilet paper etc, you will have to go pick it up yourself

We would like to make it clear, however, that before booking, we have informed you that we will let you know as soon as the housekeepers finish ahead of time which we did around 1pm and the check-in time was 2pm. We also allowed you to check out late on your check out date to help you. About the essentials, we provide a starter kit upon arrival, if this runs out, just like other Airbnb's, you have to purchase it at the nearest convenience store. Really good stay in a very convenient location. It’s a nice efficiency apartment/hotel room with all the essential amenities. I parked in the adjacent public parking structure, which cost $55 per night.

Positive: Das Bett war gut. Zentral gelegen, es war fußläufig alles gut erreichbar Negative: Das Zimmer war dunkel, man konnte nur bei geschlossenem Fenster schlafen, sonst war es zu laut. Die Lüftung im Bad konnte nicht ausgestellt werden und war sehr laut .Es gab nur Tee und Kakao. Für Kaffeetrinker gab es leider nichts

EJ's place is centrally located right on Queen St and a few minutes walk to groceries and tourist spots. I was delighted that I chose this place than going right next to the SkyCity because this place is more centrally located. Very clean with many amenities. Hosts is very responsive.

Excellent location, central, walkable to restaurants, bars and public transport. Nice gym and pool facilities in the hotel. Very easy check in as long as you read the instructions properly. Bed was very comfortable. Cons: AC wasn't working when we arrived and even after notifying host it didn't get fixed before checkout (7 days). TV reception was fuzzy, couldn't watch anything.

Most challenging airbnb to locate and access that I have come across anywhere in the world. Address is given as 171 Queens which is a vacant storefront when the actual address is 175 which is a hotel. I was working off my phone only and had difficulty finding the entrance and key pick-up. Instructions were provided in the app though you have to keep scrolling past where you think the info ends to access the convoluted instructions. Definitely some user error aspect but i have never faced challenges in access like this. During the stay it was noted that the very cheap toaster that was in the apartment was not working. I reported this to the team for their information and they requested that I send pictures of the toaster for some unknown reason which was an unnecessary waste of my time. Otherwise place was as advertised.

We had a lovely 5 night stay in the studio apartment. The location was fantastic as it was right in the centre of the city, meaning we could easily walk to everything (great when you want to save money on travel expenses). The studio had everything we needed for our stay. Initially the appliances seemed to not work, I got in contact with Team EJ and they were quick to respond and assist me with how to activate the appliances which was excellent! Perfect stay and great value for money!

The stay was nice but getting checked-in was ridiculously and needlessly difficult. There were a few items listed on the description that didnt match such as stove and oven. The communication prior to check-in was absolutely horrible. We were supposed to receive a check-in guide two days ahead of our stay but dodnt get it till about 2 hours prior to check-in and that took involving VRBO support contacting the management to get the correct info. There were several broken links sent then completely wrong info to another property sent to us multiple times. Once I threatened a charge back to them and VRBO they swiftly got me the correct info. So be aware if you rent this property.

O que nao gostei é que a TV não é smart então só tem programação local para assistir o que é quase raro hoje em dia... Se instalassem um chrome cast seria possível assistir a Netflix ou YouTube por exemplo. tirando isso é um ótimo local!

+ The Apartment is as described in the pictures and Text, it was clean and everything worked Fine for us. The washing machine+washing powder was a plus. + The Pool and gym are small, but allright for morning workouts. + Very central. + The Texts were often automatic but we could always reach the Hosts and they responded quickly. Check-in at the Store nextdoor was fine. - There were some humming noises at some times which we could not identify. We would come back! :)

Good location but wouldn’t really book again. Positive: The location was great nice hotel. Negative: The key pickup was a problem as our room was not ready. The hotel doesn’t have bag holdings facilities for this apartment. The washer dryer is in the bedroom and was noisy. The double credit card check was a nuisance also.

Pros: -The location is great. Very walkable to shopping and restaurants. - host responded to messages Cons: -the place was filthy. Stains and visible dirt on the bed, underwear left in the room, shower was not cleaned appropriately, dirt/stains on the walls and counters. - lots of strange beeping noises. The AC worked but made a loud clicking noise so we weren’t able to use it at night. There was also a loud high pitched beep coming from somewhere in the unit that kept us up at night. -washing machine was broken and we were not able to use it during our stay. -it seemed like the host was not familiar with the unit.

It was decent. If I hadn’t paid almost a 100 dollar cleaning fee I might be less inclined to say much. The bathroom shower stall door and walls were covered in soap scum and clogged while showering. Left a scum ring in shower when finally drained. Received automated emails from them with “we are here to help” and checking up with you but they never answer if you ask for it. I had a problem with the wifi modem name and password being incorrect but took the day to finally get an email that had no helpful info and was obvious they hadn’t read my explanation of the problem. It seems a small thing but I chose the place because I needed it. Simple. There is some sort of coffee machine and terrible token tea but no coffee. Just not personal at all. The so-called house manual with info is a lousy map of the area and some local what to do magazine! I laughed. The pillows are terrible. Bed is hard. No view. The building is nice. Safe. Parking is expensive!!! Sorry guys. Too little too late.

If you want to have a city holiday right in the middle of Auckland this is the place to book. It is a five minute walk to the wharf which has numerous restaurants and ferries available. There is a bus stop practically right outside the front door which worked perfectly for my girlfriend and I because we could go all around Auckland with our HOP cards. The room was completely clean and it had everything we needed and more (The washer dryer was a lifesaver). Would 100% recommend to everyone!

Perfect place to stay! Great location. Clear and helpful guide for check-in. There was some problem with the access to wifi initially. However, the team was really willing to help. They solved the problem efficiently with hospitality. Nice team and place to trust and stay. Definitely recommend the place for staying in Auckland CBD.

Great stay at City Life, Jason communicated clearly and check in and check out were both a breeze. The location is outstanding for shopping, cafe hopping or direct access to other parts of greater Auckland. We encountered minor issues with the shower not draining properly during the stay but we’re happy for this to be sorted after our check out, the shower was usable on lower mix pressure and we did not want to trouble our host over a weekend stay. Please be aware the City Life told us they do not do parking for private stays on weekends, it is for their direct booking guests only. I suspect the policy changed and the host was unaware so no issues there for us. An excellent stay overall, we will look for this space again if we are ever back working in Auckland again. 5 star rating all around.

Hello Jeep, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your recent experience. We are so sorry to hear about the shower drain. Please know that shower drain was a quick fix, however, we were only able to address it after you checked out as you requested this to be dealt with after you have left. The apartment does not come with a car park and although the building offers valet parking for an extra charge and now have made changes on their policy on weekend parking, we have provided other parking options within walking distance from the apartment on our check-in guide. We are glad to know that you liked the location and had a comfortable stay. It was a pleasure hosting you and we would be happy to host you again when you are back in Auckland!

A nice place for two with great internet connection if you have to do a bit of work during your stay. If you’re after a seaside view than it’s not the place for you. However, for convenience, easy access to other things and places to visit, this is your place. It has everything from iron to washing machine and a coffee maker (capsules). It’s brilliant! You can access the pool and gym facilities in the hotel but check with reception first. E&J team are brilliant at communicating with you and checking in to make sure you’ve settled in well. It’s a must stay at spot.

I booked the studio for two weeks in April. The location is great and comes with all the perks of Auckland CBD - supermarkets, shops, banks, sports facilities, numerous restaurants, University, etc. are all very easily accessible. Getting there from Auckland airport is quite easy. If you are looking for a cheap option, you can walk a bit to the domestic terminal of the airport, buy an AT hop card and get to the city centre for about 5 NZD. It takes about an hour. The studio itself was, in brief, just like it is presented in the photos. It faces a small backstreet and is somewhat quieter than you might expect from CBD. The hosts were very friendly. They kindly responded to all my requests and, at appropriate times offered extra services, without being intrusive. Before arriving, I was also sent detailed instructions about getting there, checking in/out, local parking options and so on. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

Location was great and the apartment has everything you'll need. The only negative thing would be the bed - the mattress is quite thin and firm. But that's probably a personal preference thing and it's fine for a short stay.

A great place to stay for a few nights (we stayed for 2 nights). The location is the best part of the place - nested in the Citylife hotel, this is as central as it gets. Great options for parking ranging from the valet service to the parking across the road at Victoria Street parking. Place was clean and had everything we needed. As with any place in central Auckland, it can get a bit noisy at night but we slept through just fine! Would certainly consider staying again.
