Perfect location for our requirements travelling for business. Used the space for a two week period - it was easy to access, and a walkable distance for our purposes.

For a family of 4 we were looking for a spacious and quite place to rest after a days travel and activities. This place ticked all the boxes and more. The photos didn't do justice and delivered on more than one occasion. The accommodation offered more than enough space and was central but also away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Would recommend as a place to unwind while being close to all the needed facilities and activities good for kids.

Team EJ have a nice and quiet property and regularly sent automated meesages checking in on you. The only issues are the shower door leaking which previous people have mentioned in reviews and would be an easy fix. Also despite having a heat pump there is no ventilation to the bedrooms which heat up and are quite stuffy overnight in summer. A good value for price, thanks for hosting us

Spacious but backyard place. No normal windows - does feel like a storage property more than an apartment. Some strange smell in the living room.

Disappointed with the quality and cleanliness and location Positive: The sheets in the linens were clean. The property was spacious. Location was near the stores. Negative: This property is a finished garage, a big garage but still just a garage. The only light that comes into the property is by two small windows and a door. They just took a big garage and turned it into two apartments so there’s no airflow or light.. The property is at the end of an alley where you have to pass. Several auto garages many people hanging out and did not feel like a very safe area when you looked out the one window in the back bedroom you could just see tires. There was an assortment of smells as it was mostly a rubbish area. You could see why the property was so dingy and dirty because you had to walk through a lot of oil before you would even get to the front door.. last the property was on an alleyway where there were many trucks and rubbish collection so it was quite noisy from 5 AM on a rubbish trucks and recycling collecting things as well as the body shop

Perfect location for a brief stay with group in central Auckland. Positive: Location in the middle of Newmarket. A bit noisy from auto shops during the day, but very quiet at night. Very comfortable and spacious flat. Everything you need. Negative: Nothing, but being in between two auto shops might not suit everyone.

The apartment was very clean and tidy, and it was conveniently located near where we needed to be. However, we could not sleep because it was extremely noisy during the night and early morning hours. Additionally, the workshop next to the apartment contributed to the noise. We felt like we had no privacy with cars from the workshop parked in the alley by the apartment's front door. We left after the first three nights and canceled our stay due to the noise, but we were not refunded, resulting in a loss of over $600 for the nights we didn’t spend there. Unfortunately, my daughter had exams to sit, and she was unable to get any sleep. I don't believe this apartment is worth the fee it is asking due to the noisy location.

This is our third time staying at Eden St. The apartment is centrally located in Newmarket close to Westfield and the shops on Broadway. The rooms are large, spacious and well presented. We enjoyed our stay at Eden Place and would recommend the apartment to others.

Photos of this property show only the interior of the house and a general location. In reality the location is not at all welcoming. In a commercial street at the rear of a mechanical workshop it is entirely undesireable. The photos dont show the full picture and when we discovered this we declined to use it, asked for it to be cancelled and sought a refund. Bookabach should ensure full disclosure of property surroundings and access.

Our stay at this apartment was fine. We really loved the location and how walkable it was to so many things. We walked to many great restaurants and shops. We were at Westfield a lot as well. We also walked to the War Memorial Museum. What we did not like about the location was that it was right behind an auto mechanics garage. We do not fault the businesses as they are only conducting their business. I wish we would have known from the description in the listing about this. Also, you do not get the exact address until right before your trip. If you can handle A LOT of noise from the businesses and also from the apartment above, I would say it is a good bargain. The kitchen was also not very well stocked as we have seen but I assume it is done that way because most people will take advantage of eating out at the many local restaurants. The management team did a great job at communicating though and we appreciate that.

A wonderful location to stay and the place was actually better than I originally thought when I saw it. The only slight issue is if you want to sleep in there is a workshop next door that sometimes work on cars before 7 am. The communication with the host is outstanding. I would stay here again though.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Newmarket. Rooms were huge, extra toilet is a bonus. Had a couple of housekeeping things that were sorted very quickly, I work on the fact that if no one lets them know then how will they get sorted. Beds and bedrooms very very substantial as were the living dining and kitchen areas. Excellent stay for a family or group.

Had a late check in, room wasn't ready. Got an extra hr for late check out, was disappointed, flew in to nz at 6 am, had been a long day, to them have to wait till 5.30 to check in

This airbnb was super close to shops and restaurants and had the bonus of a parking space available. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is in a mixed residential/commercial area so earplugs are handy if you would like to sleep in during weekdays. We enjoyed our stay overall.

Nice for an apartment located behind a panel beaters. You don't get exact location until you book, and it is an industrial street, but at least right near Westfield. Apartment is a bit tired, not new and clean as a hotel, but cleaned as well as possible. The listing said there was aircon, but it was just in the living room. Thankfully mild weather when we were there. The real issue for us was that there is an apartment above this one, and noise travels very easily downstairs. They chose to play music all night, but even when their music was off - footsteps sounded thunderous, and coming or going their voices sounded very loud outside the apartment windows. We asked host if they managed the apartment upstairs and if they could help, but they didn’t say. It’s possibly permanent residents that make all that noise, so be careful. Tried to call Auckland police about music, but they don’t answer the phone at 4am. Fair value overall, and if you don't mind a bit of noise great choice

Couldn't have asked for a more responsive and accommodating host. I requested multiple date changes and requests that they catered to every time and were so fast and helpful. The stay I booked was across a few months and received the same 5 star service during the whole stay.

The place is conveniently located and EJ team is super responsive, which helped us have a good short stay. Our toddler loved the space to run around and the spacious beds! The place has everything you need. We were not too keen on the lack of natural light in the main area and the noise at night.

The location was great. So convenient yet unexpectedly quiet because it is down an alley in an industrial area. Once the workday ended there was no one around…. But 100 meters down the alley you are on Broadway in the middle of everything. The place was larger than we expected. Plenty of room to spread out. On the other hand, there are few windows and they are high up, making it feel like a basement. Given the pluses and minuses we would stay there for the space and the convenient location.

Nice place, clean and inside matched the photos. In a close proximity to the mall and very easy to walk to. Wasn’t a fan of being next to a repair shop and the walkway to door was filled with cars until they closed. Bit noisy but that’s expected given the repair shop. Overall, it was a good stay as we didn’t stay inside much while exploring the city.

Nice and clean however much more dated than photos look . Unfortunately needs a lot of things updated / maintained . Very comfortable beds and nice pillows and blankets. Parking does keep getting taken by surrounding workers etc .

A filthy space behind a garage - not impressed. The place is not well maintained, with things like broken wardrobe doors left unfixed. Lack of cleanliness is another major problem. The fridge stinks! I even saw a cockroach in the place. I found the place unbearable and decided to check out in day 2, even though the rest of the stay is not refundable according to the rules. It is conveniently located, but the problems above certainly override its locational advantage.

Good location if you want to be near the shops and lots of food options. The apartment is next to a car mechanic so it feels like an industrial area. If you are looking for something more residential, this is not this place. Apartment was very spacious, however there’s minimal windows and light so we felt a bit boxed in. Overall, a good place to stay to be in the heart of Newmarket.

Extremely central and very spacious. In the heart of Newmarket this two bedroom apartment worked well as a base for our family of four (2 teens) while visiting family and friends in Auckland. Super close to the train and fabulous having a car park included. The bedrooms are large and beds comfy. So good having 2 toilets and a large lounge. Eden Street has a few auto workshops but they generally don’t make noise until 7am weekdays (closed weekends). It is inner city living so there is noise but you get the benefits of having everything super handy.

This apartment is not the 'quiet space' the listing claims. It is in an industrial area next to a mechanics shop which opens at 7am, it's very noisy and busy. Cars and motorbikes park right under the bedroom windows. The fixtures are not well maintained, the fridge ices up and leaks, there was a big leak in the bathroom from the shower. We weren't happy with multiple tradespeople being in our holiday apartment especially during the omicron outbreak so suggested to the host that we move so he could fix his apartment up, but at that point he never came back to us. The space is big and the begs and couches are comfy, but the overall experience of a dark, noisy industrial area left us feeling very disappointed.

This Airbnb is a hidden gem! Such nice big areas (bedrooms and living space) and in a great location. Love having the car park too. Beds were comfy, water pressure in the shower was good and the aircon and fans made for comfortable nights through the humidity of summer. Would gladly stay again.

Eric & Jason are very pleasant & efficient to communicate with. Apartment is in an industrial style area next door to a mechanic, which was shut while we were there so can't comment on noise. The other buildings surrounding were quiet. There is an apartment above which we could hear people running around in occasionally. The location is literally next door to Westfield so very convenient for food/shopping. The added free carpark was also handy. The apartment itself is very spacious, the rooms are big & having 2 toilets was good. Air con & fans available. BYO rubbish bags, dishwasher tablets & washing powder. We had an issue arise as soon as we got there which they offered a couple of solutions too, unfortunately neither would have worked so we just sucked it up but appreciated the attempt at trying to solve it.

The space is a little gem, Hidden away you wouldn’t even know it was there. Very spacious, has everything that you need for a great stay including a TV in the lounge and in both bedrooms. Airbnb themselves on the other hand need to sort out the way they show the $ per night price as it is misleading and what we thought we were renting for $120 per night actually cost $150 per night.

We loved the clean, and well appointed apartment in Newmarket. The location is absolutely superb, everything was comfy and made for a great base to enjoy Auckland. Eric and Jason are fantastic hosts - very responsive and good communication.

This is a magic secret spot in the very heart of Newmarket. An unassuming entrance opens into a cozy full sized ground floor apartment. Plenty of heating, super comfy beds, cushions and rugs galore on the large sofa and plenty of space to move. This place has everything you need. Perfect as a home base to rest in the evenings while you explore the city.

Very central spot in Newmarket. Warm and cosy during our midwinter stay. It didn’t affect us but worth a note that their is a mechanics right out front so can be noisy at time during the week. Great helpful hosts organised everything for us.

A great central location that was cosy and warm. It made a great base while we were away from home. It is literally around the corner from Westfield Mall. Highly recommend Altezano Brothers Cafe for coffee. When I read the other feedback about the Mechanics workshop being out the front I was worried about the noise. However, it wasn't an issue for us. The garage doesn't operate in the weekend.

We had a pleasant stay and loved the location to the mall and shops in Newmarket. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The off street parking across the road was great. We had a fabulous meal at White and Wong on the rooftop in the Mall, a must if you love Asian infusion food.

Amazing location! Short walk to biggest mall in NZ and the train. Spacious and modern and really comfortable. Large comfy couch and super size bed! While in an industrial looking street it was really quiet and secluded. Highly recommended.

Location, location location. Apartment is situated in a quiet enclave parallel to the main shopping drag; shops, the shopping mall and restaurants are only a stone’s throw away. The Newmarket Station is about a 10-minute walk if you wish to catch a train to downtown, extremely convenient! However, next to the apartment is an auto mechanic garage, not recommended for people who are not early risers. Other than that, I would highly recommended this place.

Perfect location if you want to walk to Westfield Newmarket , semi industrial street what worked well as very quite at night time and no traffic driving by at night time. Cosy place to relax in with comfortable couch in big lounge and super comfortable beds and plus having TVs in all Rooms. Plus having 2 toilets and overall a very practical nice place to stay.

The apartment was a great base for a short stay and in a handy location with responsive hosts. It had everything we needed. Although it didn’t affect us as we are early risers, it is worth noting there is a mechanics outside so it does get noisy.

This apartment is roomy with comfortable beds, good space for 4 people. The apartment is well situated in Newmarket, close to the mall and supermarket. It is behind a mechanic that starts as early as 7.00 am which can be annoying if you are trying to rest. We stayed for a very hot 5 days in Auckland and unfortunately the air conditioner was leaking badly so found the unit hot. Hopefully, they will get this fixed soon.

Amazing location and easy to find. Value for money with this place. We loved the big couch too. The two toilets were awesome and it is a lovely big space to stay in. Having a carpark available right across from the apartment was very much appreciated. The air conditioner was leaking quite badly while we were there and we needed to put a bucket underneath it to catch the water. Hopefully that will be fixed soon as it was quite hot in the lounge at times.

The location is on point, such an amazing location. The host were very nice and extremely helpful. During out 17 days, we required few things and they were very fast and efficient. I would highly recommend this place for a short or even longer stays.

This is like a secret apartment right in the heart of Newmarket and you would never know it existed. Huge space , massive California king beds, very easy to access but completely quiet at night. Highly recommend as easy for 2 couples to use or a family with 2 toilets and personal space for everyone.

Lovely place - stylish interior and a very spacious, large 2-bedroom in super central location, walking distance to broadway, westfield shopping centre, cafes etc. Comfortable bedding, everything you need. The apartment is tucked away in a commercial area and doesn't receive natural light so this is something to keep in mind for longer stays if you need natural light. Overall recommend - especially for short stays and work trips!

Great base right in the heart of Newmarket, walking distance to Westfield which has a supermarket too. The bedrooms were bigger than expected, and the living space was fantastic. Very handy to have a carpark and the apartment was spacious and clean.

So close to shops and restaurants, a great location. Very comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. There is a mechanic’s shop right at the front door, which was a bit worrying. Thankfully it isn’t open on the weekends, but something to be aware of if staying through the week.
