We loved our stay! Ponsonby was a brilliant suburb with great restaurants / cafes and shopping. The house was fantastic with plenty of space for our group of 7.

Our stay at this home was wonderful. Very modern with nice art throughout the home. The outside in the back was well designed with a great view of the Sky City Tower. Close to all the action and restaurants on Ponsonby Street. Easily walkable. The Garage parking was nice with the home was appreciated. Highly recommend this stay.

Awesome venue, made some great memories and would love to return. Positive: Great lay out,heat pumps in every bedroom, bedrooms on 3 floors so everyone has added privacy. Kitchen was very well equipped, gorgeous secluded garden and seating area, awesome views of the sky tower/auckland. Negative: Would honestly struggle to find anything negative but at a push we could've done with some extra t towels and kitchen roll and glad wrap would've been helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ponsonby, the place was clean and very nicely updated and perfectly spacious for our two families. The location is just a short walk to the shops and eateries on the main street and was very quiet which was great for a good nights sleep. The property has 3 levels with rooms on each so it was a little bit challenging for the young kids and there were lots of decorative artefacts/homewares which was aesthetically very nice but again hard to manage with the kids. I look forward to staying again once the kids are a bit older.

The place was as advertised. No surprises. Very good location to get to the Ponsonby restaurants (a little hilly, but that is Auckland). I had nothing to complain about. The place was clean, comfortable and centrally located. I tried to extend our stay there, but it was already reserved for our dates. If you want to be in the city center, this is probably not the best pick, but we preferred the more laid back vib of Ponsonby Rd.

Location was the standout however we had booked for two nights and didn’t stay either. We unfortunately left after a few hours as the window that is easily accessible was unable to shut and lock. We did our best to work through things but decided that best practice was to not spend time with compromised safety. On reflection, it wasn’t the place to take the family, but more so a place that was well curated for the open minded, and was well worn in. We would certainly suggest this place for a group of adult adventures, but it’s far from the well promoted family like Villa it was sold as and having not stayed nor been able to sort out our concerns of an unsafe house on our stay, the good times will no doubt continue…….

We loved staying here! this was an amazing spot. The home was so beautifully decorated, and super clean and homey, which made it so comfortable for us. It’s just a two block walk from Ponsonby road, which had amazing shops and restaurants. we were also a block over from The christmas light show on franklin rd. the backyard was so private as well and great for entertaining. The host was super flexible with our checkout and accommodated us when we had a flight cancellation. couldn’t recommend this place more!

The house is amazing and I would not hesitate to stay again. If I had to say one thing negatively they could provide more utensils to create platters. However, that is such a tiny thought. Excellent location and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The home is beautiful and was above our expectations! It’s a nice house in a good location close to Ponsonby Road and all the restaurants, bars and shops. We had a few maintenance issues during our stay which in our opinion weren’t dealt with as they should have been.

The clog was caused by a plastic cap that was stuck in the pump. This happened a day after you checked in and we reminded you to inform your children not to flush things or even baby wipes in the toilet to avoid this from happening in the future.

This is our fifth Airbnb in Auckland and our best experience. Great neighborhood and the house was both elegant and homey at the same time. I would stay here every time if we could. Great location and within a 5 minute walk to different coffee shops and restaurants. Loved the quiet oasis of the outdoor space and we were able to enjoy some dinners outside with the beautiful weather. Hosts was also responsive with requests and questions and allowed us a later check out. Also, after having travelled through Australia and New Zealand it was nice to find a house with some basic kitchen needs (oil, salt, pepper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.). Great amenities and definitely recommend to others!

The location of this house is fantastic. Just steps away from Ponsonby with tons of shopping and restaurants. The main floor and outside space of the house are lovely. Was nice to have access to the garage as well.

This house is in a great location a stones throw from shops and coffee shops. As a family of 6, we had lots of space and room to hang out and had everyone feeling comfortable and not cramped up. Check in and Check out was pretty easy and straight forward. There were a few points that disappointed us considering the respect we had &the price we are paying for this place: 1. We broke 2 wine glasses in the dishwasher on the last day so we messaged the host about this and sent pictures of the broken glasses; & to our surprise, they asked if we could replace them before we check out the next morning. Considering we have 3 kids, need to check out by 10am, wait until 4pm for our 17hr flight, it was inappropriate to request this of us but managed to replace them anyway. 2. We asked for an early check in and late check out and were not granted either. 3. On the day of check out at 10am, a van was waiting from around 9am to clean or inspect the property. This made us rush even more than we were

Such a beautiful home, really cool architecture inside as well! It's walking distance to lots of great shopping and delicious restaurants and also a close drive to the downtown area. The host was very nice and responsive with any questions we had!

Beautiful home that is only a few minutes walk from plenty or great restaurants and bars. Easily accessible from the freeway. Beds were comfortable and clean. 5 stars all around.

Wonderful stay - with 4 bedrooms over 3 floors, the house coped well with 3 generations. Requests (for example for more crockery and for a clothes drying rack) were met promptly by lovely friendly guys and the faulty fridge was replaced the following day. Would dump some of the house plants!

Team EJ's place in Freeman's Bay is a gorgeous place, near the Ponsonby restaurant strip but located in a quiet street. It is freshly renovated and well furnished, and the team were very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with during our stay.
