Closeness to hospital was great Positive: This place was a good choice for the location to the hospital our only reason for being here. It provided what we needed for 2 adults and 2 children. Negative: The hardest part of the whole stay was filling in the form to even be accepted. As an 80 year old traveler it was lucky my daughter was with me as I have never had to do anything like this before and would not have had the technical skill to fill it in. Also I have never seen so many rules and reminders to do said rules. I have never been asked for a $500 dollar damage deposit before either and it could have made it financially difficult if I had not had sufficient funds to cover this and still be able to pay for other expenses on this emergency trip.

A Horrific Airbnb Experience: Malicious Claims and Service Failures The host attempted to claim damages for already damaged items and demanded a five-star review, threatening continued claims if we did not comply. This behavior far exceeded normal business interactions, amounting to shameless extortion and creating an atmosphere of harassment. Unwashed bed sheets caused severe itching for our entire family, with suspicious hair discovered on the bed. The hygiene standards were a complete failure of basic accommodation cleanliness requirements. Located next to a highway, non-stop traffic noise made it impossible to rest. Our family trip transformed into a nightmarish experience, completely misrepresenting the property description. This Airbnb stay was the worst family travel experience in our history.

I’d give the stay itself a full score, but the booking process could be smoother. Positive: The place looks just like the photos—clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s a nice fit for families or friends. The kitchen’s well-equipped, and having two parking spots is really convenient. I’d say the stay was great overall. Negative: The main downside was the extra booking process outside of Booking.com. I had to provide more detailed information, including credit card details and even a selfie. I understand it’s meant to protect both sides, but even after I paid, there were doubts about my identity and a lot of back-and-forth communication. As a non-native English speaker, this process felt a bit unfriendly.

Didn't pay to write maintenance reports Positive: The apartment was tidy, but cot was missing on arrival. After having to take photos to prove it wasn't there, I had to walk 200m to open the gate for someone to deliver one which the lady asked me to carry back (she delivered to door after I refused). It was broken. I had to submit photos and a description of the problem before a decent cot was finally delivered hours later. It was awful dealing with this after my 5 month old's first flight! Every issue required photos and a description submitted on their online platform before it would be attended to, which explains why a number of things were not well-maintained - no one goes on holiday wanting to write maintenance reports! You also get sent friendly messages to check in on you but they are simply too long, none of the hyperlinks work on the booking app, and information about check out conflicts with what is on the guide, so they're altogether unhelpful and waste time I'd rather spend enjoying my trip. Other than that, it was nice to have private parking and air conditioning.

The home itself was great. The lockbox with the key was a bit tricky to find as we arrived after dark, and the gated townhouses were between the part of the road where our GPS took us and where the lockbox was.

Awesome location if you need to be in the city. Very handy having 2x parking spaces as well. My only thing is that the pull out bed was broken and we couldn't get it out. There were four of us but had 2x singles who didn't want to sleep in the same bed, so I do reccomend this gets replaced if you want an extra bed in the house. Also we had the place for 2 nights and did not have enough towels for all 4 of us for 2 nights, but there is a washer and dryer available. Overall an nice clean tidy place with 2x parking which is a bonus, and the gated community is very quiet. Will definitely reccomend and stay again if needed. Thanks

Needs maintenance & too expensive for NZ prices. Washer, dryer, etc excellent. Upstairs excellent. Main floor carpet needs replacing. Sofa bed needs replacing as it has cigarette burns. This is a nice little house in a great location. Unfortunately we had some trouble checking in as there was no key in the lock box when we arrived. But the team did a great job of getting a new key to us within half an hour or so. The place also needs a few repairs. But overall a good spot.

Seulement sel, poivre et huile comme condiment ( ce qui n’est pas un problème, mais bon à savoir pour un long séjour). 3 air climatisés, un au premier plancher et 1 dans chaque chambre, ce qui est parfait pour régler la température. Très bon emplacement, près du centre. Excellente communication avec les hôtes ( rapide). Bon à savoir pour le Check In: la boîte pour la clé se situe près du panneau High Voltage qui est à 150m de l’entrée automatisée. Je recommande cet appartement sans hésiter

Wonderful location and nice comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen was great for our family. Only problem was leftover rubbish and cigarette smell from previous guests which was hard to sort because of it being a holiday. A spacious place with minor problems and inconveniences - e.g. venetian blinds don't work, bathroom sink doesn't drain well, fridge vacuum seal is extremely powerful making it extremely hard to open. Some noise from the motorway and main road nearby but bed was very comfortable with excellent bedding (unfortunately I received a line of insect bites one night :-[ ). Re check-in: you need to enter from Grafton Rd and the lockbox location is right at the very top on the right. Hard to tell from the photo. At the unit, the gate handle was broken preventing entry without slipping the latch manually with a thin object through the gap. I'm afraid to say that communication was not the best and there was no flexibility (I was unable to walk due to an injury and they could not get someone to arrive early to open the security gate for my assistance to arrive. Hopping there was a mission). Good central location between the city and Newmarket.

Lovely & Clean townhouse close to the city. Host’s had great communication with very specific check in instructions. We were a bit worried about the traffic noise due to its proximity to motorway however the double glazing makes it very tolerable. Fantastic if travelling with 2 vehicles as there are 2 car parks right outside. Ample provisions for a short stay and generous kitchen pots pans plates etc. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed close to to city with easy access to and from city centre and main shopping centres. Positive: Location was great for us to do all the sightseeing in and around the city. Appartment very clean and comfy. To have free carparking is excellent. And excellent double glazing kept traffic noise to very little given the location. Negative: Initially we went to the other end of Burton Street to find the key! But that is our silly mistake, really it is pretty straightforward if you look at the map properly!

Modern, well appointed accommodation. However, you're right beside the motorway, so expect constant noise even with the double glazing. Coffee machine leaked water, the plunger must've been broken and the couch didn't fold up. Wanted a photo and asked if could check after I'd left, instead of doing the right thing and fixing these issues. Plenty of talk (as in frequent and annoying messages), but no walk. Overall poor service in my mind. Definitely need to raise their game.

If you are looking for somewhere two bedroom that's reasonably priced, this is a solid option but I had certain issues with the place and I couldn't in good conscience leave a glowing review, despite the hosts request that I do so. As an Airbnb host myself I think it's only fair I give my honest opinion of Eric and Jason's place. This felt very much like a motel. It didn't feel particularly warm or homely, and my interactions with the hosts were very transactional -- including a request for a five star review, and when I requested a port-a-cot (as we were not using the second bed) the hosts sent through a canned message with the health and safety guide for their port-a-cot and an extra fee of $35. It felt very business like and after one or two messages, and seeing how close the accomodation was to the motorway I began to realise this place perhaps wasn't right for me. I went to cancel only to find I'd be charged the full fee so I decided to stay, but was only there for one night. I think future travellers should also be aware that this place is very close to the motorway and it was loud all day and night. I found it difficult to sleep. There are no staples in the cupboard other than coffee (no oil, butter, etc.) and despite the full laundry, there was no laundry powder so I couldn't do the washing I was planning on doing. As others have pointed out, the internet was very slow. Finally, despite other reviews suggesting it's 'family friendly,' the stairs are quite steep so not ideal for toddlers and the back yard connects directly to a pathway. It didn't feel particularly safe for little ones but the front enclosed garden area was okay. Next time I will likely just book a hotel, or stay somewhere else as this is really was not the place for me. Other than my issues, check in and out was seamless (but check in time was a bit late 3pm and check out quite early 10am), the location in terms of the close proximity to the CBD is good, the car space was really handy and everything was spotless.

Great location, close to everything, place is really clean and tidy - aircon is a great bonus in the Auckland summers! It's in both bedrooms and the living area, you can hear the traffic as is near the motorway, but only when the windows are open, with aircon don't need them open if it's hot so didn't bother us at all and a small price to pay for the location and lovely unit :)

When we arrived to the property it was very disappointing - the listing is painted as a cute townhouse however it is anything but. It is a row house that is surrounded by 100 identical ones. Next door is a flat with what appeared to be college students who partied loudly two of the nights we were there. The apartment also backs on to the main highway in Auckland and so at night the traffic was noisy. It wasn’t very clean - the carpet had food stains and there was dust all over so I was sneezing the whole time I was inside. The internet doesn’t work well at all - and when I asked about it with the hosts they told me to restart it but when I asked where the box was I just got no response - which wasn’t helpful so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you need to work from home. All and all very disappointing.

Stylish and modern, compact terrace house with nice courtyard and easy parking for 2 cars and visitor parking opposite. Note bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Comfy beds and nice linens. Close to motorway so convenient but a little noisy (as expected from such a central place). Good security in complex. Very nice hosts easy to communicate with.

Really enjoyed my stay at their place! Sparkling clean and the kitchen is amazing. Check in was easy as and the location was convenient. 15 minutes walk to town and really near Uncle Man's too on K road.

We asked Derek to pay 35 for additional linen as he wished to used the sofa bed. He then replied very aggressively and called us a con artist. Maybe just a polite response to say he thought it was included would be sufficient but a full on rage is a bit much and not justified.

What a great place. So close to the CBD and with parking as well. Easy to access public transport and the motorway of needed. The place was clean and tidy and packed with everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay again.

This was the most uncomfortable and rude check in I have encountered. After being asked for my details (passport), the host took it upon themselves to assume that I was using this house to party. They saw that it was my birthday on the 3rd of January and questioned whether I would be utilising this house to party and invite other people (more than 6 as that is what I had booked and paid for). I assured them that I had booked this house for whanau that live outside of Tamaki Makarau who will be attending my birthday hosted at my family house somewhere else in Auckland, and that they would most likely be having a few drinks but not partying. The host then continued to unnecessarily ask for the names and contact details of all the guests who would be staying there. I had informed them that I would be the main point of contact. To top it off they also had the nerve to state "if you're really having your birthday party somewhere else," using language to discourage and strike their disbelief that I was lying to them. They ended that message by implying that it would not be fun if we had to walk in and there were more than 6 people in our house. This to me is disgusting. How dare you have the nerve to advertise your whare, the place you call home and welcoming, then strike fear and suffuse sheer disbelief when met with the truth. How dare you put myself and my whanau through an unnecessary vetting system, doing background checks, ploughing my birthday, and drawing unjustified assumptions about our use of your house. How dare you not acknowledge the words and actions that reek of injustice and disgust. I can see that this host believes the image and up-keep of their whare is paramount of the way they treat other people, other people who so happen to be brown. I will not ever book this place again, nor will I recommend it towards people who do not want to be hosted by people blinded by their privilege and cannot acknowledge their faults and still have the audacity to ask for a 5 star rating at the end of our stay. Do better or get out of the business of hosting people.

Good: Location is very close to town and easy to get on to the main routes. The place itself is nicely decorated and the air con works a treat. Nice appliances in the kitchen with every thing you need. Quiet neighbours even thought there are a lot of flats together. Need to be aware of: The place is right next door to the motorway which is noisy all day and night. There is good quality double glazing which blocks most of the noise but that sort of thing may be a bother to some people. You won't be able to sleep with the windows open.

Eric's place was very stylish and well equipped for a longer stay. The gated community with 2 parking spaces was ideal for me. The location allowed for easy access to the motorways and only a short drive or walk from plenty of cafes, bars and the Domain park. Would recommend staying here again.

Eric is very fast responsive. The house is warm and clean. We enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location. The house has everything you needed during the stay. The only minor thing is the room is quite bright even when the curtain close. But not a big deal if you don’t wake up late.

This place is modern yet cosy. It was warm to come back to even when it was freezing outside. Super clean and more space than I expected. Parking was super easy. Loved the fact that the area was gated in so it felt like its own little suburb even though it was smack bang in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Positive: The apartment was located in a great place and inside comfort was awesome. Unfortunately we didn't stay much in the apartment as my child was in starship hospital we just went there for a nap Negative: We couldn't locate the key box as on the manual it didn't specifically say where it was located and when we called the lady on the phone seemed confused herself. We couldn't even find tv remote and had to call and ask and they said someone will come tomorrow but nobody came. We found the remote the next night when we decided to open the sofa bed
