I had a fantastic stay at this lovely Airbnb in Grey Lynn. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is peaceful yet conveniently close to great cafes, restaurants, and public transport. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making check-in seamless and ensuring I felt right at home. I especially appreciated well-equipped kitchen. A really central place to stay, so easy to get from here to the CBD under 10 minutes which is very rare in Auckland. The hosts were really great at communicating with me and I found the whole experience really enjoyable

Great place to explore Auckland from. Lots of amazing vegan bakeries, cafe and restaurants near by which was fantastic for us and a real bonus.
The place is as described and great base to explore the city but also relax and have some alone time.

This place is a great find, private clean and has everything you need. Has a great location next to a number of shops, and everything you would need at easy confidence. I ended up staying here a lot longer than planned, and it became home for me for a couple of months. I have stayed in a number of Airbnbs around New Zealand for both travel and business, and this was one of the best places and experiences. Top marks, and very much recommended

Had an amazing stay at Eric and Jason’s place for 8 nights while visiting Auckland. The place was comfortable, cozy and convenient. Check in and check out was straight forward and stress free. Eric and Jason’s was the perfect place to come back to after a busy day of sight seeing, and great for just relaxing on a rainy day. Great location. Was exactly what we were hoping to find within walking distance of Western Springs for the Pasifika festival. Bonus to have so many eating and shopping options also within walking distance. We especially loved our breakfast each morning at the Urban Jungle! Also took full advantage of the nearby bus stop to go to the Auckland Museum and downtown / waterfront area as well. Everything within the cottage was as expected.

This spacious one bedroom cottage was such an awesome find! Private with a cute deck and garden. Home decoration was lovely and homey. Would definitely stay here again. Ample linen/towels. I only wish we had more time to spend at the place but we were on a busy schedule. Communication with host was clear and prompt. Location was the best, close to everything and everywhere we needed to go. Only downside is we booked on a weekend there was a concert at western springs which we couldn’t access any on street parking and lots of traffic but of course this is out of the hosts control. Just be mindful of events/concerts in that area, but it’s the perfect place if you are attending an event at Western Springs though! Overall, really happy with the stay :)

Nice stay at EJ’s. Just be mindful that if you have a car, there are bus lanes on the road so you’re required to move your car from one side of the street to the other to avoid specified bus lane hours, but we didn’t have a hard time with it. Loved staying in Grey Lynn; close to fun spots/neighborhoods!

We loved our one night stay here. We found the instructions accurate and helpful and the unit clean and comfortable. Parking is on the street, and there are a few steps to the apartment which we found no trouble. Our hosts communication was helpful and very clear so this wasn’t a surprise.

A cosy little one bedroom place with a seperate kitchen/ living area. Heat pump in living room and oil heater in the bedroom made this a warm cosy stay. Lovely linen & towels. Spacious bathroom with good pressure in shower. This unit is set off the street, up a little path, which made it nice and quiet. Easy access, with a 3pm check in time.

Sweet little spot in Grey Lynn that is also close enough to walk into Ponsonby! We loved this little cottage and the convenient location. The backyard is easy to enjoy in any weather with a covered porch and lovely garden to look at. The bed was comfortable and cozy and as others have mentioned, you do not hear much noise from the traffic on the road. All in all, a great find near the city!

We absolutely loved our stay at Grey Lynn Cottage! It's a lovely, private little home tucked behind two residential homes, with a small deck and garden at the back. It's location is excellent! We could access the variety of small restaurants and cafes just 4 minutes walk up the road. (We love Tiger Burger and Wise Boys!). The Grey Lynn Countdown is also only a few minutes drive away. Western Springs park and MOTAT are also very easy to get to by car. CBD could be accessed if you travel on one of the buses going along the main road where the cottage is located.
Our hosts, Eric & Jason, were great with prompt and informative responses. We had no problem with roadside parking rules as these were clearly explained in the Check-in instructions, as well as the reminder our hosts sent us before we checked in. The accommodation was spotless. I really liked the look and feel of vintage dresser/writing table in the master bedroom! Since we stayed here in the middle of winter, keeping warm was a concern. But the place has a good heat pump/ air conditioner in the living room and a heater in the bedroom. We were provided with a warm, heavy maroon blanket too in case the heater was not enough, and another set of linen and towels since we stayed for more than a week.
Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful, private and cozy home as a place to stay while in Auckland. It's close enough to the city, but not too close, and it can be a great home base while exploring the wider Auckland region since it's nearby the SH16 motorway (heading to west Auckland).

Really nice property in fantastic location. Nice to have privacy and a backyard. Cottage has everything you’ll need, is very clean and comfortable. Quiet spot, great escape while in the city. Great for small kids also. Parking is on street with a short walk to get inside. Great, helpful comms, although just ensure they send the check in instructions ahead of time.

The location is fantastic isn't it? We couldn't agree more that it's in an amazing spot. We hire a professional cleaning team to prepare all our apartments and they've always done a great job and leave our units spotless! This place is like a surprising little bach in the middle of the city! It’s right at the top of the hill by Surrey Cres and tucked into a lovely garden. I’d recommend it for anyone who wants a little private space in the big city!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Eric's place.A cosy,sunny and quiet private enclave set back from Gt North Rd.The veranda/deck accessed through french doors off the lounge and overlooking a lawn and garden getting all day sun added to the sense of space and calm.
Easy access to the city by car and convenience store shopping and coffee and food outlets within easy walking (100 metres).
Off street parking not an issue and bus lane rules easy to adapt to.
Access up a path to the cottage between 2 houses a bit of a challenge initially with luggage but from then on not an issue.
Water pressure in shower and lack of fan extractor over stove are only detractions from an otherwise lovely well appointed cottage for 2 people.

We loved our stay at this home away from home. We travelled with our 2 young children and Eric went out of his way to ensure we were looked after....even heading out after dark to purchase a portacot for us! The house was safe for our toddler to explore and we would have loved to have made more use of the wee lawn out lt the back had it not been for the weather. The amenities are amazing including washing powder, dish liquid and basic toiletries. The communication is exceptional and the location is great; we found it surprisingly quiet!! Highly recommended 😍

Clean, great location, easy check-in and super private! Gorgeous little outdoor patio area off the living room. House is well off the road so nice and quiet. There’s no off-street parking but plenty of room to park on the road outside with hosts giving easy instructions to do so. I’d definitely stay again!

Lovely quiet tastefully appointed cottage that is very clean. You can really relax and recharge in between your busy days in Auckland. The deck and back yard are lovely to sit in with the plunger coffee and listen to the birds. It is so quiet and peaceful. Very hospital hosts who give great recommendations and provide lovely touches that make your stay extra special.

Eric & Jason are incredible hosts. They were very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few nights stay. They reached out to ensure we were comfortable with our stay and are truly super hosts! I was impressed with the soft/ironed bed sheets. This is a small detail I notice several Airbnb's fail to give attention to. We'll be back again!

Me and my partner stayed at the cottage for 5 nights as a short relaxing get away.
First of all, the place is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It is clean and has very good amenities such as TV, WiFi, fridge/freezer and cooker. It even has its own washing machine meaning your not going home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes.
The bed was so comfortable and I could tell we were provided with quality linen. Felt like we were in a hotel. The lounge area was cosy and the little garden area was beautiful.
My favorite part was the kitchen. My partner and I love cooking together, this kitchen was stylish and modern. The whole place was.
You can tell a lot of care has been put in to this place and the experience of the guest. Eric and Jason were attentive but not too full on. It was all self check in/ check out so it gave us that sense of privacy which is amazing. Eric and Jason let us know they were there if needed and even gave us tips on great nearby coffee spots.
All in all I could not recommend more and we will definitely be staying there again.

It was a great place location wise. If you have a car you will need to move it at certain times as there is no private car spot for you or driveway.
The hosts check up only by phone which was great for me and any problems they respond immediately.

Eric’s place was lovely, bright and open it was ideally located in Grey Lynn, which is close to Ponsonby and Mt Eden all fantastic places to visit, with cute bars, coffee shops and boutique shops). The house had great amenities including a full kitchen, lovely garden and air conditioning, we would definitely recommend the house and will return if back in Auckland.
