Ventura Heights Townhouse with Parking and Patio

Pros: Beautiful clean place, spacious, ample bath towels, couch & sitting areas downstairs were decent, kitchen & dining area is nice, townhouse location is close to where I needed to be. Team EJ has been communicative in Townhouse #2. Cons: 1. This is a 3 bedroom townhouse with 2 people on the reservation, yet only 2 of the bedrooms were prepared. 2. All the beds could use a serious quality check. As a result, we had to play like Goldilocks & find the best 2 beds & then remove the linens from 1 of the "made" beds & place it on the unmade bed; which in my opinion, if you're paying for a 3 bedroom townhouse (even though only 2 people are on the reservation), please still have the 3rd bedroom ready - do I get 1/3rd off if the 3rd bedroom is unused? 3. We could not get the heat downstairs to heat up + there was only 1 space heater in the entire townhouse & that's how we heated downstairs. Mind you, we stayed here in mid-Aug (cold winter mornings & nights). Minus 1 star for Cons 1 & 2.

Positive: It was clean and great location near shops Negative: I did not like the bed in the master bedroom. Can see the bed frame and mattress were old and it sinks in which made it uncomfortable and did not have good sleeps. The leg of bed was bent and felt like the bed was going to fall apart. The house was good, matched the description but the service was really bad after checkout. The host implied we broke something that we already falty, luckily though they didn't make us pay for anything despite first laying the blame on us. The worst part was that I forgot my airpods in the house, the host just stated that it often happens that travelers forget they packed their stuff and eventually find them. The airpords were however located in the airbnb, the host kept saying they didn't have them. We eventually went back to the house, the airpods were in the cleaners car. Overall a good place but beware of the host. Loved Auckland though!

When we checked in, the trash can was full and smelled bad. The sofa cushions are so dirty that we hardly use them. There is a place where the stairs are damaged and there is a safety hazard. The room on the second floor is very hot, even if the fan is turned on. Air conditioning can be installed.

The location was perfect—close to the airport and just minutes away from most of our family’s homes. We really appreciated the air con, especially since we came from Oregon and aren’t used to the heat. While it does get warm upstairs, the provided fans made a big difference. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the property was easy to find. We especially loved the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to host a family dinner on our last night. The garage was convenient, even though we didn’t use it much, and it made disposing of garbage simple. The washer and outdoor clothes rack were also very thoughtful touches. Enjoyed our stay, beautiful home and close to everything we needed and our family were close by. A few things was it was very hot upstairs when the weather gets hot and was also stuffy. Yes there were fans that were supplied to us but still it wasnt doing a great job you can open your windows but then your letting in flys and mosquitoes in. For the price I paid, the whole house shouldve had ducted heating and cooling not just down stairs. The door that leads you out to the back yard and deck area I wish had blinds on it or was tinted as I felt people could see right through there was no privacy there. Also I wish you were more flexible with check in time. To check out at 10am and then have check in at 4pm is very late. I understand you need to clean up etc but 4pm is just too late. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We arrived late into the evening and was so good walking into a well presented , warm house even tho I activated the alarm, but host responded to my call immediately. Smoke detector also went off in the night but they had a maintenance man around quickly. Again very impressed with response. Beds were really comfortable with hotel-feel linen and plenty of soft white towels. We will be back.

Location was exactly what we needed for Auckland city, airport and Manukau-based family and work commitments. Linen and bathroom towels provided were of good quality. Unfortunately our large-sized rental vehicle could not fit the single garage (electric door but no remote). We were able to parallel park right next to the front entry doorway. Overall presentation is as photographed however furnishings in bedrooms and living room are dated and very well-used. Beds are not luxurious, but we managed to get in comfortable enough sleeps. Upstairs got very warm overnight and we were grateful for the fans provided to move air around. Responsive and friendly communications from the host(s). Overall, this place is well suited for couples, and business travelers given location, conveniences beyond a standard hotel room, and excellent-reliable WiFi.

Team EJ were great. Had a problem with noisy air con and they came and fixed it right away. Not alot within walking distance but uber always arrived within a couple of minutes - Would recommend staying here. And would definitely stay again . I think the cleaning fee is a wee bit steep though 😊

location was very good for my convenience. the only issue we had was the house was very hot upstairs because there is no air conditioningupstairs. they brought us a fan 2 days lafter so that was one problem the other was sometimes the electronic door lock didn't open so we have to try several times before it worked.

Few issues with the electronic door lock. Once inside everything was fine. We were only there one night and really wanted a good bed. Mattress was a bit ‘bouncy’ reminded me of flatting days. We had 2 cars so was wanting more info on car parking. Didnt realise there was a single garage - tight squeeze to get an Outlander in to. Other car had to leave on the street…so its Auckland right.

The place was great for our short 4 day holiday. The house was clean and tidy. The home is in a convenient location, it is pretty central to everything. the only thing I would say is there should be a more detailed description as to how to use the digital keypad lock as we had some troubles. There could also be a few extra kitchen basics as we had to buy a few things but this didn't affect our stay in any way. Would recommend and stay here again. Thanks

Disappointing Positive: Security was good Negative: Floors weren’t clean, ants over a couple of the beds and kitchen table, broken stairs, broken door handles, washing machine leaked, had to pay $250 cleaning fee then asked to clean before we left, master bed sinks to the middle, lounge very small for a 3 bedroom apartment

A very nice apartment in a good location that suited our needs. It was presented as pictured and nice and clean.s Unfortunately we had one bed with unwashed linen and another with inadequate sizing (unfitted sheets) with no underlay. We did let the host know at the end I’d stay who did advise that could’ve been rectified which is great, however clean and adequate linen is the minimum expectations. I’m sure this will be corrected for future visitors as the host is very lovely, so we’d definitely stay again. Other than that, everything else was very clean and tidy and a lovely apartment. I would still recommend.

We had a very bad experience that ruined it for us. The battery for the door died and didnt allow us to enter the code to enter. We got home at 1am and couldnt open the door. I tried to make contact with the host but it was difficult. We were left out in the cold with nowhere to stay. We ended up at a friends house for the night. But the experience was horrofic. There has to be another plan put in place for this type of situation. Shouldnt there be a spare key (manual) somewhere in case of emergency? Terrible night we will never forget

Easy and responsive reply. Clear instructions, very tidy and clean with excellent amenities. Good lifting in and outside. No concerns whatsoever. Definitely recommend. Close to motor way easy access.

Highly recommend Team EJ from the start to end of our stay, they were very accommodating as well as helpful, we could not fault them. The house was great, had everything we needed for our stay.

Sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft. Im Wohnzimmer wäre es super wenn es noch mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten gäbe. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist etwas hoch. Der Check in war mit 4 pm sehr spät. Wir sind bereits um 7 am angekommen und hätten um einen frühen Check in gebeten. Leider war dies nicht möglich.

For the check-in time, it was already mentioned on the listing prior to check-in date as well. Positive: The location was great for where we needed to travel each day. Negative: There was no clothes dryer, so we had to dry our clothes at the local laundromat.

Booked this accommodation on behalf of my colleagues coming into town for a work conference and the hosts were super hospitable in their communications. Very clear instructions on how to access the home through the lockbox and the house was beautifully presented. My colleagues commented on how well rested they were so thank you!
