Martha’s Backyard

What began as Sandy Graham’s hobby of bringing back favourite U.S. brands for friends and family soon grew into something bigger. With her Kiwi home overflowing with American goodies, Sandy and her husband Stuart opened Martha’s Backyard to share those comforts with homesick Americans and curious Kiwis alike. 

From humble driveway sales to a Glen Innes outlet store, Martha’s Backyard quickly expanded, moving to larger spaces as the demand for American products grew. By 2012, it found its home at Harvey Norman Plaza in Mt. Wellington, where it still operates today. 

Now a well-loved destination for all things American, the store offers everything from classic pantry staples to hard-to-find treats, both in store and online. Thanks to its loyal customers and passionate team, Martha’s Backyard continues to bring a little slice of the U.S. to Kiwi shores.
